My Background
I'm a licensed psychologist specializing in autism assessments and neurodivergent-affirming therapy for adults. I understand the challenges of navigating a world not designed with neurodivergent minds in mind. I stay current with evolving research on autism presentation in adults, particularly in those who were assigned female at birth, late-diagnosed individuals, and those who have developed extensive masking strategies.
Education & Training
Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology, Marquette University
Pre-Doctoral Internship, Cherokee Health Systems, Knoxville, TN
Post-Doctoral Training, Lake Shore Behavioral Health, Buffalo, NY
My Philosophy
I believe that autism is a natural form of human neurodiversity, not a disorder to be cured or fixed. My approach is firmly rooted in the neurodiversity paradigm, which recognizes that autistic minds offer unique strengths, perspectives, and ways of being in the world. My role is not to make you "less autistic," but to support you in understanding yourself, reducing barriers, and building a life that honors your authentic neurodivergent identity. Therapy and assessment should empower you with self-knowledge, practical strategies, and a deeper appreciation for your neurotype. I bring both clinical expertise and lived experience to our work together, creating a space where you are truly seen, understood, and affirmed.
